1. (wpt 1)

The beginning of the route is from the central entrance of the village of Polychronos. The village has the Folklore Museum where you can see the local history and how the inhabitants lived in earlier times. It has cafes, taverns, shops and you can find honey and olives from the local producers. At a distance of 2.85 kilometers to the ridge of the Kassandra Peninsula there is the famous Mavrombara Lake, which is protected by the Bonn Convention N.2719 and the Directive of the European Union for the conservation of wild flora and fauna as three rare species are found there turtles:

02 Mauremys caspica (Achille Valenciennes 1833)

03 Testudo hermanni boettgeri (Mojsisovics 1889)

We start our journey straight uphill to meet the E.O Paliouriou - Thessaloniki and the traffic lights.

2. At 90m we meet the intersection of E.O Paliouri - Thessaloniki with the traffic lights (wpt 2)

and we continue our route following the road to the right downhill, (it is an asphalt road).

3. After 230 m (wpt 3) 
(altitude = 18m)
we will meet an intersection and continue our course to the left following the dirt road to the ridge (there is also a sign indicating the course).

4. We continue our course following the main dirt road until at 430 m we will meet (wpt 4) 
(altitude = 19m)
it has an intersection and we will continue to the right (there is also a sign indicating the course) on the main dirt road.

5. At 1.36 km we will meet (wpt 5) 
(altitude = 99m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course left uphill on the main dirt road (there is also a sign indicating the course) .

6. At 1.61 km we will meet (wpt 6) 
(altitude = 140m)
it is the small church of Agios Ioannis (year of construction 1983) and we will continue our course straight on the main dirt road.

7. At 1.82 km we will meet (wpt 7) 
(altitude = 145m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course straight – slightly to the right on the main dirt road (there is also a sign indicating the course) .

8. At 2.06 km we will meet (wpt 8) 
(altitude = 167m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the left on the main dirt road (there is also a sign indicating the course).

9. At 2.77 km we will meet (wpt 9) 
(altitude = 231m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the left on the main dirt road (there is also a sign indicating the course).

10. At 2.85 km we will meet (wpt 10) 
(altitude = 228m)
there is the famous Mavrombara Lake (there is also a sign), which is protected by the Bonn Convention N.2719 and the Directive of the European Union for the conservation of wild flora and fauna as there are three rare species of turtles:

11. At 3.34 km we will meet (wpt 11)

it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the right on the main dirt road.

12. At 3.85 km we will meet (wpt 12) 
(altitude = 285m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the left uphill.

13. At 4.12 km we will meet (wpt 13) 
(altitude = 316m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the right.

14. At 4.82 km we will meet (wpt 14) 
(altitude = 294m)
it has an amazing view point where to the North, we see Athyto and Nea Potidaia, to the West we see Mount Olympus and Thermaic Gulf. Continue our course straight without leaving the main dirt road.

15. At 5.07 km we will meet (wpt 15) 
(altitude = 270m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the right downhill without leaving the main dirt road..

16. At 5.56 km we will meet (wpt 16) 
altitude = 243m)
it has a 4-way intersection and we will continue our course to the right uphill to the top of Mount Kamila.

17. At 5.82 km we will meet (wpt 17) 
(altitude = 250m)
there is the top of Mount Kamila. We enjoy the fantastic view and see the Kassandra Peninsula, to the West we see the Eastern side of Olympus, to the North we see Athytos and up to the mountain of the Cave of Petralons when the purity of the atmosphere allows it.
To continue the route to the village of Kassandrino, we will continue our course straight downhill without leaving the main dirt road.

18. At 5.90 km we will meet (wpt 18)

it has an intersection and we will continue our course straight – slightly left.

19. At 6.13 km we will meet (wpt 19) 
(altitude = 211m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the right on the main dirt road.

20. At 6.61 km we will meet (wpt 20) 
(altitude = 134m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the right on the main dirt road.

21. At 6.74 km we will meet (wpt 21) 
(altitude = 124m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course straight on the main dirt road.

22. At 6.93 km we will meet (wpt 22) 
(altitude = 124m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course straight – slightly to the right without leaving the main dirt road.

23. At 7.58 km we will meet (wpt 23) 
(altitude = 114m)
it has an intersection and we will continue our course straight – slightly to the right without leaving the main dirt road.

24. At 7.90 km we will meet (wpt 24) 
(altitude = 112m)
it has a double junction and we will continue our course to the right without leaving the main dirt road.

25. At 8.08 km we will meet (wpt 25)

it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the right uphill without leaving the main dirt road.

26. At 8.81 km we will meet (wpt 26)

it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the left downhill without leaving the main dirt road.

27. At 8.99 km we will meet (wpt 27)

it has an intersection and we will continue our course to the right uphill without leaving the main dirt road.

28. At 10.04 km we will meet (wpt 28)

there is the intersection where on our left is a small bridge and to continue our course towards the village of Kassandrino we will follow the asphalt straight to the square.

29. At 10.15 km we will meet (wpt 29) 
(altitude = 77m)
there is the intersection where we will continue right uphill to reach the central square of Kassandrinos..

30. At 10.36 km we will meet (wpt 30) 
(altitude = 80m)
We arrived at the central Square of the village of Kassandrinos, it has a tap for gargling cold water, a coffee shop, the Church of the Assumption as well as taverns for food and the famous spits..
