While on the motorway Thessaloniki – Kassandria we exit to Kallithea and then to Kriopigi, at the Kallithea traffic lights.

Track safety: a track that can be easily done by car for better safety. It needs attention only where it meets the main road and at the center of the villages, because during the summer cars are forbidden on entering.

The track starts from the traffic lights of Kriopigii. The village has a beautiful beach, cafes, restaurants, bars, rooms for rent and hotels. At 4km distance to Kallithea, there are night clubs.
In Kriopigi there is the pedagogical center for research and training, a donation of Dr Erhart and Sofia Siegler. This center is a meeting point throughout the year of educationists from all over the world, arriving here to cooperate and attend to seminars and conventions.
Local natural products are honey, fruits, wine and olives. One can visit the fountain, from which the village’s name derives, which has been built decades ago.
Start the track by heading south, on the main street to Polichrono. There is a pedestrian walk on the left
2. At 1,50 km at (wpt 2)

we have the following options at the junction:
1. Turn left, leave the main road and keep on tarmac (safer for hikers).
2. Keep on the main road to Polychrono (there is heavy traffic which might prove dangerous, mainly for hikers than for cyclists).
Both routes join together a few meters down the road. It’ s your choice.
We ‘ll describe the safer way for hikers, turning left and leaving the main road.
3. At 1,70 km (wpt 3)

we turn right at the junction, downhill on gravel.
4. At 1,77 km at (wpt 4)

viewpoint where Toroneos gulf and the western side of the Sithonia peninsula can be seen on a clear day. To your south, ypu can see Polychrono. We continue downhill.
(attention! There is a concrete sidewalk to the left throughout the descent, while the gravel road is rocky).
5. At 2,35 km at (wpt 5)

we join the main road from Kryopighi to Polychrono, continue on the left at the side of the road and downhill.
(attention! There is a comfortably wide side road for hikers and cyclists on the left side of the road)..
This is the common part of the two alternatives we talked about at(wpt 2)!!!
6. At 2,49 km at (wpt 6)

at the junction, leave the main road and turn left to the beach, on tarmac.
7. At 3,60 km at (wpt 7)

viewpoint over the gulf, the Sithonia peninsula and the beach. Continue straight ahead on tarmac.
8. At 5,01 km at (wpt 8)

keep straight uphill to the center of Polichrono.

keep straight uphill to the center of Polichrono.
10. At 5,47 km at (wpt 10) (alt = 19m)
the church of Aghios Athanasios
and the well known Polichrono folklore museum. One can have an overview of local everyday life of the past
Polichrono has plenty of rooms to let and hotels for your stay. The beach is long, lots of cafes, beach bars, restaurants and numerous bars for the evening.
At a distance of 2.85km, towards the ridge of the Kassandra peninsula, there is the lake Mavrobara,
a protected natural habitat for 3 species of turtles.

Continue straight.

turn left on the pedestrian walk, pass by the central square of Polichrono.

there is a quadruple junction (end of the pedestrian walk) and we continue slightly to the left on tarmac to Hanioti.

turn left on main asphalt road.

keep straight to Haniotis main square, on pedestrian street.
15. At 10,00 km at (wpt 15)

Haniotis main square, continue straight uphill. Hanioti has plenty of rooms to let and hotels, a vast beach with the village along it, many cafes, beach bars, restaurants and a significant night life.
16. At 10,14 km at (wpt 16)

turn left downhill on the pedestrian walk.

there is a triple junction (the end of the pedestrian walk, entrance of vehicles is forbidden in the summer), we keep straight across the street and uphill.

keep straight downhill, towards the exit of Hanioti.

there is a junction, where:
1. to the left we continue to the beach,
2. to our right is the main road to Pefkohori
We continue to the left and at 8m we turn left again, downhill to the beach.

Pefkohori beach.
Pefkohori has plenty of rooms to let, hotels, restaurants and bars so that one can enjoy their stroll. It also has a vivid nightlife. At about 3km off Pefkohori, towards Paliouri, lies the natural port of Glarokavos and many notorious beach bars.
