From Thessaloniki: (1,5hrs) 

While on the motorway Thessaloniki – Kassandria, we leave at the junction to Kallithea – Kriopigi and then to Pefkohori

1.      (wpt 1) 

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 01   (alt.= 3m)

Start is at the square of Pefkohori. The beach of the village has been awarded a blue flag, the village has many rooms for rent and hotels, cafes, beach bars, restaurants and a great nightlife.

We start through the pedestrian walk towards the beach of Pefkohori.

2.      At 160 m (wpt 2) 

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 02    (alt.= 2m)  

we get to the beach, where we find a junction and turn right, following the road by the beach to the end (it’s a pedestrian walk).

3.      At  970 m  (wpt 3) 

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 03   (alt.= 0m)

we turn right at the junction at the end of the pedestrian walk, keep on the cement road.

4.      At 1,26 km we find (wpt 4)   

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 04  (alt.= 2m)

and turn left on tarmac at the triple junction. 

5.      At 3,15 km we approach  (wpt 5)   

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 05   (alt.= 4m)

turn left on gravel at the triple junction to the beach. 

6.      At  3,44 km   we reach  (wpt 6)

turn right at the junction and move towards Glarocavos bay without leaving the main gravel road. 

7.      At 4,55km we get to  (wpt 7)

turn right for Glarocavos, stay on the main gravel road.

8.      At 4,59 km  we find   (wpt 8)

Glarocavos bay. A natural port which protects the small local fishing boats. We continue to the right at the junction, on the main gravel road circling the bay.

9.      At  4,76km we approach  (wpt 9)

and continue to the left on gravel.

10.  At  5,24km we reach  (wpt 10)

and continue to the left on gravel

11.  At  5,70km we get to  (wpt 11)

and continue to the left on gravel to the beach.

12.  At   6,47km we find  (wpt 12)

and continue to the right on gravel.

13.  At  6,72km we approach  (wpt 13)

we keep straight on gravel through the trees.

attention!!!  There are sandy surfaces in the next 150m.

 

14.  At  7,00km we reach (wpt 14)

we turn right at the junction, follow the main gravel road. At this point there is a nice viewpoint on the beach, where the Sithonia peninsula and the summit of Mt Athos are visible.

15.  At 7,54km we get to  (wpt 15)

At this point there is a nice viewpoint on the beach, where the Sithonia peninsula and the summit of Mt Athos are visible. Continue straight without leaving the main gravel road.

16.  At 7,63km we find  (wpt 16)

we keep straight at the triple junction to the main tarmac road.

 

17.  At 7,86km we approach  (wpt 17)   

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 17  (alt.= 9m)

we are at the main crossroad of the road Paliouri – Pefkohori and we turn left on the main road to Paliouri (tarmac).

Attention!!! For the next 1,45km we are moving on the main road with a potentially heavy load of traffic during the summer.

18.  At  9,31km we reach  (wpt 18) 

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 18   (alt.= 16m)

at the junction of the Paliouri camping (Xenia) we turn left to the beach

19.  At  9,50km we get to  (wpt 19) 

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 19   (alt.= 1m)

pass through the gate and turn righ on gravel road at the junction.

20.  At 9,97km we find  (wpt 20) 

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 20  (alt.= 1m)

turn left to the beach on tarmac.

21.  At 10,22km we approach  (wpt 21) 

Pefkohori Glarocavos Bay 21   (alt.= 0m)

this is Chrousso bay, The area has crystal clear water, beach bars with plenty to offer. You can enjoy your vacations and relax.
