How to get to Aghia Paraskevi
From Thessaloniki:
Duration of drive: 1,5 hrs
Driving on the National Road Thessaloniki – Kassandria, we exit to
1. 1. Kallithea and then we continue through Pefkohori – Paliouri to Aghia Paraskevi, or alternatively
2. 2. Kassandria – Siviri – Loutra – Aghia Paraskevi.

Data and course analysis
1. (wpt 1) (altitude = 220 m )
Course starts at the plane tree of Aghia Paraskevi village and climbs up the paved street towards the village exit. There is a Folk Museum in the village where one can discover its history and everyday life of the past. There are small café’ and restaurants and one may also find honey and cheese from local producers. The modern spa facilities of the Loutra (thermal baths) of Aghia Paraskevi are 6kms away.
2. 340 m after the uphill section, there is the junction of Paliouri – Aghia Paraskevi road (wpt 2)
(alt. = 231 m).
We continue on the road to the left uphill (tarmac road) to Paliouri.
3. at 910m (wpt 3) (alt. = 246 m )
turn right on the junction, follow the gravel road towards the chapel of Prophet Elias.
4. After 930 m we get to (wpt 4) (alt. = 244 m ),
turn right on the junction towards the chapel.
5. at 1,17km we get to (wpt 5) (alt. = 236 m ),
we go on straight uphill.
6. at 1,92 km we get to (wpt 6) (alt. = 276 m )
where there is a junction:
1. Turn left uphill and get to the chapel of Prophet Elias, a great viewpoint towards all directions and
2. If we continue straight on the gravel road, we keep on our track.
7. at 2,11km we get to (wpt 7) (alt. = 305 m )
going uphill we get to the chapel of Prophet Elias, great viewpoint with limitless view with a clear sky on all the Cassandra Peninsula (north), the Sithonia peninsula, Toroneos Gulf, the summit of Athos (east), Pefkohori, the natural port of Glarocavos all of the Southern peninsula of Cassandra till its edge, the Aegean sea with the Islands of Sporades (south). Nea Skioni, Mendi and Possidi (west).
Walking downhill from the chapel, we continue left at the junction.
8. at 2,66 km we get to (wpt 8) (alt. = 254 m),
we cross the road Paliouri – Aghia Paraskevi and keep straight towards the ascent to Paliouri.
9. at 3,08 km we get to (wpt 9) (alt. = 251 m)
at the junction of Paliouri road, turn right on the gravel road and continue without leaving the main gravel road. There is a sheep courtyard after a few meters.
10. at 4,91 km we get to (wpt 10) (alt. = 219 m),
keep straight without leaving the main gravel road.
11. at 5,57 km we get to (wpt 11) (alt. = 176 m ),
turn right at the small junction without leaving the main gravel road.
12. at 5,79 km we get to (wpt 12) (alt. = 167m)
at the triple junction keep straight uphill on the main gravel road.
13. at 6,15 km we get to (wpt 13) (alt. = 185m),
great viewpoint suitable for photos.
14. at 6,35 km we get to (wpt 14) (alt = 185m)
keep left on the junction.
15. At 6, 55 km we get to (wpt 15) (alt. = 177m)
keep straight uphill at the junction.
16. At 6, 81 km we find (wpt 16) (alt. = 178m)
we get to viewpoint Geomorphes (Palatakia) and continue straight i=on the main gravel road.
17. At 7, 05 km we get to (wpt 17) (alt. = 163m)
turn left uphill at the junction.
18. At 7, 65 km we find (wpt 18) (alt. = 108m),
good viewpoint, continue straight on the main gravel road.
19. At 8, 25 km we get to (wpt 19) (alt. = 41m)
at the junction, turn right to descent.
20. At 9, 12 km we find (wpt 20) (alt. = 4m)
at the junction:
1. Turning left we get to the beach (with stones)
2. Turning uphill right we keep on our route.
21. At 10, 18 km we get to (wpt 21) (alt. = 68m)
we get to a nice viewpoint for photos of Geomorphes (Palatakia) and we continue straight without leaving the main gravel road.
22. At 11, 81 km we find (wpt 22) (alt. = 91m)
good viewpoint over the Aegean Sea, we continue straight without leaving the main gravel road.
23. At 12, 52 km we arrive at (wpt 23) (alt. = 94m)
we turn left at the junction towards a steep hill called Skala.
24. At 12, 66 km we get to (wpt 24)
(alt. = 85m),
we find a great viewpoint over the Aegean and continue cautiously down the steep hill, keep straight.
25. At 13, 14 km we find (wpt 25) (alt. = 5m)
keep left to the main gravel road.
26. At 13, 18 km we arrive at (wpt 26)
(alt. = 2m)
at the junction:
1. to the left there is a beautiful beach with naturally sculptured and colored rocks and
2. We continue to the right on the main gravel road.
27. At 13, 69 km we get to (wpt 27) (alt. = 3m)
we turn left at the junction to the beach and continue uphill.
28. At 14, 77 km we find (wpt 28) (alt. = 33m)
turn to the right uphill.
29. At 14, 89 km we arrive at (wpt 29) (alt. = 41m)
the central junction with the road Aghia Paraskevi – Loutra (tarmac), turn left to Loutra.
30. At 14, 98 km we get to (wpt 30) (alt. = 43m),
great viewpoint over the Aegean and Loutra, keep descending towards Loutra.
31. At 15, 35 km we find (wpt 31) (alt. = 31m)
turn left at the junction and continue straight uphill for the Spa – Loutra.
32. At 15, 58 km we arrive at (wpt 32) (alt. =36m),
it’s the end of our course. The thermal baths and the Loutra – Spa of Aghia Paraskevi, where you can have a swim in the indoors or at the outdoors pool, in the fountain water which offers therapies to different body issues. You can also have a massage session, hamam, Jacuzzi, spa, etc.
Aghia Paraskevi village has numerous rooms for rent, hotels, lovely taverns and bars, so that you can enjoy your hike in the region.
