Data and course analysis

The beginning of the route is the junction with the traffic lights of Kallithea. The beach of Kallithea has fantastic sand and crystal clear waters, many beach bars, taverns, water sports and the unique archaeological site of Ammos Zeus, where you can see the local history and how it was the way of life of the inhabitants in earlier times. The village has cafes, taverns, and you can find local honey producers and other local products. Within 1 kilometer towards Kriopigi, there are the famous nightclubs where you can party until morning. For your stay there are many rooms to let and hotels.
We start our route on the left following the main road to Athitos. (On the right and left of the Road there is a pavement for hikers)
2. At 370 m we find the junction for the Kallithea - Athitos local street(wpt 2)

and continue our route following the right and straight road that is parallel to the main road (asphalt road) towards Athitos.
3. After 580 m (wpt 3)

we will meet a junction and continue our course right - slightly straight following the asphalt road
4. Continue our course following the main asphalt road until at 1.42 km we meet (wpt 4)

has an intersection and we will continue right following the asphalt road.
5. At 2.48 km we will meet (wpt 5)

has an intersection and we will continue our course to the left following the asphalt road.
6. At 2,58 km we will meet (wpt 6)

has a junction and we will continue right and downhill following the asphalt road to the center of Athitos.

has an intersection right in the center of Athitos and we will continue our course left to the uphill following the paved pedestrian walkway.
Here you will meet:
1, the church of Agios Dimitrios, (1859)
2, the Athitos Folklore Museum (Aletra's House)
3, Remarkable are also the characteristic old stone-built houses with their landmark inscriptions and stone-carvings.

At Athitos you will find many rooms to let, hotels, cafes, restaurants, tavernas and a superb beach with beach bars, as well as live music especially during the summer months and enjoy the view of the Toroneos Bay from the so-called 'Athito's balcony'.

has a junction and we will continue our course right uphill following the paved pedestrian street.

has an intersection and we will continue our course left to the downhill following the asphalt road to the stadium.

we will meet the intersection with Natonal Road Athitos - Nea Fokea and we will continue our course right uphill for a few meters.
14. At 4,40 km we will meet (wpt 14)

where there is a junction and we will continue our course left to the asphalt road leaving NR Afitos - Nea Fokea.
15. At 7,81 km we will meet (wpt 15)

we will meet a junction and continue left to the downhill leading to St Paul's Sanctification following the asphalt road.
16. At 8.05 km we will encounter the (wpt 16)

where there is a junction and we will continue our course turning right to St. Paul's Sanctification following the asphalt road.
17. At 8.27 km we will meet (wpt17) (alt. = 2m)
and arrive at the St Paul's Sanctification and continue our course straight to the main crossroads of Nea Fokea - Athitos.

where there is the main crossroads of NR Nea Fokea - Athitos, we will continue our course crossing the main junction to the beach where we turn right and uphill towards the Byzantine Tower of Nea Fokea ..
19. At 8.55 km we will meet (wpt 19)
(alt. = 11m)
we reached the Byzantine Tower of Nea Fokea (1407). In this Tower in 1821 Emmanouil Papas, the head of the Revolution in Halkidiki, had its headquarters. Around the tower, during the summer months, cultural events are organized, which are part of the Kassandra Festival.
Also from this point you can enjoy the view of all the Toroneos Gulf and the western part of the Sithonia Peninsula.
Nea Fokea offers rooms to let and small hotels that will make your stay a pleasant one, many cafes, fish taverns, where you can enjoy your ouzo and fresh fish.
Interesting is the feast of Apostles Peter and Paul on 29-30 June. The service is held in the chapel of St. Paul.
